Well, today we had a truly awesome day. We first went to archery then we had a long hike through the forest. After that we had to do some pulling because we made our way to high ropes. After that it was a long hot afternoon for 20 minutes till we got to the pool!
Archery
In archery today I got my best score! I got to the 2nd outer ring! Well that is about the best thing that happened to me this day. This is because I came in third place. There was a counselor that made it to 2nd ring. Then there was another kid, he was eight and he got to the third ring. So, I think I did pretty well if you ask me.
Hiking
Today we hiked down a forest trail in the shade! Yup the cool shade.If you don't appreciate the shade as much as I do, try camp on a hot and sunny day. It really does help. So we hiked for half an hour through a wet and muddy trail. Our destination was a surprise. We were at the ..................................................................................................................... drum roll please, the lake!!!!!
At the lake we saw some tadpoles a hole school actually. We enjoyed the scenery for about 10 minutes and then we got on our way again. The hike was fun and we got to enjoy some outdoor nature.
High ropes
At high ropes we did another kind of activity. So we still had to climb the ladder then the staples but this time when we got to the top there were 2 people and we had hold each others wrists and lean back as far as we wished. Then we came back down and pulled the rope to tigthen the rope connected to the harness for the others so they didn't fall.It was really fun! I made it all the way to the top and even leaned back.
Swimming
In swimming we had a chance to cool down from the insufferable heat. It was just sinking to the bottom and lying down in cool water.
