Cedar Glen camp from a youngsters view part 10

So today in camp we had theme day again. It happens every friday. So this weeks theme was ...................................................................................................................................................................mystery!


So, every theme day we get to dress up and we do things a little differently. We do lots of activities instead of periods and have fun. So today we had to solve a mystery with seven clues. We started the day with none. The mystery was about a cake eater. We had to find out where our mystery guy ate it and what our guy used and who was our thief.

Water activity ( the game doesn't really have a name)

  In this game we had 2 different teams. We both had a pillar full of holes with a floaty thing stuck inside. The objective of the game was to fill up the pillar with water and the holes with our fingers so the floaty thing came out the top. I was the first one in line in our team. So the whistle blew and I grabbed a cup filled it with some water and walked to the pillar so I wouldn't spill water. When I got there I needed some help to pour it in then I ran back to give the next guy the cup. Then we wen't back together I covered the 2 holes at the very bottom so water wouldn't leak. While the other guy went back and gave the cup to the next person and so on. It was really fun and the other team got to like 99.9999999999999999999% of completion when they leaked and went to like 40.7598747285743897593247584358764596272509862374865093256 % anyway we never passed anything over 63. 4875293465190651604165656450091785768846582207584937458994986543% but it was still loads of fun!

Lunch

At snack actually ( I'm to lazy to change the title even though it would take less energy than writing this whole line) we found our first clue. It was :" It towers over all the campers.". Except that it was pretty boring.

Dodge ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, in dodge ball you have to throw some balls at the other team while trying to not get hit your self. If someone catches your ball you are out. If you get hit by a ball you are out. It was really fun and we played 2 rounds of doctor dodgeball and it was fun. In doctor dodge you just play normal dodge ball except you have a doctor that can get you back up once you have been hit. It was loads of fun. Plus we found another clue that said :" It's two things used as one."

Keeper of the keys

In this game you need a few things:

1. Some keys a coin or whistle or just something of that size such as a marshmallow .
2. A parent or adult in charge 
3. A crowd of at least 6 people.

So the rules are very simple. There is someone in the middle who is guarding a set of keys while everyone else sits very still in a circle around that person. Then the person in charge picks a certain person (or persons depending on how much time you have and how big your crowd is. The chosen one then sneaks up very quietly and tries to get the keys. If the person in the middle hears you though he or she will point in the direction of the noise because they are blindfolded and can't see they will have to use their other senses. The game is really fun. And you can change it up a bit to make it harder or easier such as having a limited number of guesses or making the surroundings echoy or playing in grass. Anyway it was really fun and I had a great time.

Silent ball

So in silent ball we have to do two things.

1. Stay silent
2. Play ball

That was so unobvious. So anyway you just spread around and pass as many balls as wanted around. If you fail a catch that would have been easy you are out! If you do a bad throw ( too high, too low, too far) then you are out. And if you talk or make any noise at all you are out. So I am awesome at this game and made it to the top three! But then I went for a ball that was out of my reach.

Here we found another clue that said it's white and next to the lake.

Rock climbing

  It was really fun because I tried a harder wall and didn't make it to the top. So this will be my goal for next time.

Gooey Thing 

So we had to fill 3 different things and figure out what they were. The first thing was pomegranates and the inside of grapes mixed with water. The second thing was spaghetti with cooooooooooooooold water. And the third thing were gooey marshmallow's  with water. It was really fun and disgusting. There we found another clue: ( the utensils are made of wood). 

Drip .... Drip ................Drop!

Drip drip drop is the same game as duck, duck goose except you have a cup of water and  every duck = drip and you sprinkle a few drops of water. Then your goose would be drop and you would drop the whole cup on them then run the circle and try to get to your seat before your opponent does. I had loads of fun and  then we found another clue. It said "he is the saddest little green frog ever." It was loads of fun! We got to cool off and have some fun. 

While walking back we found a\ bunch of butterflies! 

Then at the end of camp it was revealed that A counselor who is good at acting named Zippy had eaten the cake with chopsticks underneath a white tent close to the lake.

Today was lots of fun!!!!
